The Proliner Digitizer by Prodim is an established tool for capturing 3D geometry for industries such as marine canvas fabrication. The challenge comes when you convert your Proliner data to Rhino 3D surface geometry which can then be used to create accurate 2D patterns using ExactFlat. Rhino3D for Proliner Digitizer by Prodim Users – Standard Essentials Training

Length: Approx. 10 hours

Prerequisite:

  • None

Goal:

  • Use point and line segment data from a Proliner to quickly create 3D surfaces, markings, and cut-outs for use in 3D to 2D Digital Pattern Making.

Description:

  • You will learn the standard and essential commands for creating 3D surface geometry from Proliner digitized points and line segments.

  • This course is for current Proliner users or those considering purchasing a Proliner.

  • Rhino UI, basic concepts of 3D Space

  • Modeling aids, curve concepts, trim, split, transformation commands

  • Rhino grid, units and tolerances

  • Basic NURBS surface commands Loft & Edge Surface

  • Curve fixing and rebuilding

  • Applying vector graphics and features to a model (Projecting curves with record history)

  • Surface joints, curve from object

  • Basic error detection and fixing (extract surface, untrim)

  • NURBS to mesh concepts

Rhino3D for Proliner Digitizer by Prodim Users – Extended In-depth Training

Length: Approx. 10 hours

Prerequisite:

  • Rhino3D for Proliner Digitizer by Prodim Users – Standard Essentials Training (10 hours)

Goal:

  • Be able to use the advance ExactFlat features to be able to fine tune 3D to 2D pattern making results

 Description:

  • You will learn the advanced commands for creating 3D surface geometry from Proliner digitized points and line segments. 

  • This course will help increase your speed, and your proficiency. 

  • This course is for experienced users and requires completion of of Rhino 3D for Proliner Digitizer - Standard Essentials Training.
