Exporting Cut Files

Exporting Cut Files

ExactFlat Export Profiles allow the user to create standard methods for formatting nest (marker) files.    Markers can be exported in DXF, HPGL and PDF formats.   Export profiles allow the user to format files such that entities within ExactFlat are recognized properly by the importing system.   To create an Export Profile, use the Export Profiles Manager in the Database.

Export Profile Manager
The Export Profile Manager allow the user to specify how ExactFlat entities are exported.  For example, a cut file may be DXF, ASTM, PDF or HPGL.  Notches may need to  be exported as lines, points or both.  Text font size can be specified along with the option to export as text or geometry.
The Export Type allows the user to define the file format.
The export profile manager is shown below:

Optimizing DXF Files for Size
ExactFlat provides a profile for optimizing what data gets exported via dxf.  Color, linetype, linetype scale and other data can be useful,  however this data may cause dxf files to be larger than desired.
To optimize file size,  an optimization profile must be present in this directory: C:\Users\Current User\AppData\Roaming\Tri-D Technologies Inc\ExactFlat Design AddIn for SolidWorks.
