Export Profile Manager

The Export Profile Manager  allows the user database administrator to specify cut file formats.
Export Profile Type
Export Profile Types allow the user to select the file type they which to save.  Currently the following types are supported:
1. ASTM DXF
The ASTM DXF export option formats the marker as a dxf file accordiung to ASTM standard D6673.  The ASTM standard defines standard formatting rules that  include  dxf version, standard layers, piece formatting as blocks, piece text and grading requirements.
Version
ASTM standard 6673-10 defines the dxf version to be used as AutoCAD version R13.
Standard Layers
The standard layers are as follows:
Layer 1 piece boundary
Layer 2 turn points
Layer 3 curve points
Layer 4 V-notch and slit notch
Layer 5 grade reference and alternate grade reference line(s)
Layer 6 mirror line
Layer 7 grainline
Layer 8 internal line(s)
Layer 9 stripe reference line(s)
Layer 10 plaid reference line(s)
Layer 11 internal cutout(s)
Layer 12 intentionally left blank
Layer 13 drill holes
Layer 14 sew line(s)
Layer 15 annotation text
Layer 80 T-notch
Layer 81 castle notch
Layer 82 check notch
Layer 83 U-notch

Piece Text
Style System Text—  ExactFlat export piece information as a block on each piece according to the ASTM standard.  The piece information is placed on the same layer as the piece perimeter.  This is referred to as  style system text in the ASTM standard.  This text stands in contrast to annotation text, which is plotted out and is defined as Layer 15 in the DXF file.
Blocks
Pieces are formatted as blocks.  The name of the block will correspond to the name of the piece in ExactFlat.

2. DXF
The  dxf export option formats the marker as a standard dxf.  ExactFlat entities are mapped to layers using the Export Profile Manager.  The dxf standard is the most widely used format for exchanging 2D CAD data.   Many companies use dxf as a standard format for cut files in order to have a common format that can be imported by many different cutter types.  By using a neutral cut file format, this allows users to purchase  new equipment without the headache of converting old markers to the new format.
3. HPGL
The hpgl export option formats the marker as a plot file.  The hpgl option is useful for sending a marker to a plotter.  Assigning colors to ExactFlat entities is useful when using a plot viewer.  All entities will be assigned to pen 1 for plotting.
Export Profile Entities
Export Profile Entities map features in ExactFlat to the correct layer or tool when a cut file is exported.  Some Export Profile Entities are fixed,  there are certain Export Entities that can be customized such as markings and notches.
Perimeters
Perimeters are the edges of the surface that define a piece.  Perimeters can either be external or internal.
Notches  and  Drills
When a Notch   or Drill  feature is  defined in the database,  a NotchStandardType indicates to ExactFlat to export these features to standard layers.
Internal Lines and Markings
When Markings are assigned a type,  this geometry can be used to perform specific functions.
Per Instance Block Definitions
Selecting the Per Instance Block Definitions option,  will give every piece in the marker a unique ID.   Some importing programs will have difficulty if multiple instances of a block definition are used.   For example, if the importing software does not recognize pieces as being flipped,  the per instance block definition option may fix this problem.
Notch Manager
Notch information is edited using the ExactFlat Database Manager. Go to the Database Grid View and select the NotchType table:
